
Vehicle Painting
This tutorial eBook will take an in-depth look into the process of designing vehicles, beginning with the concept stage and following through to a final design. We will cover sketching approaches used to evolve and refine an initial idea, and show the techniques used to produce a number of drawings, exploring a variety of designs.
The tutorial will then move onto creating a finished design and placing the vehicle in a simple scene and addressing the issue of rendering the various materials that make up its construction. The importance of perspective will be explained before concluding with a chapter on adding design details and lighting effects.
CHAPTER ONE
In chapter one, Dwayne Vance starts sketching out his ideas for his sleek race car and Hoi Mun Tham starts designing his futuristic construction vehicle.
CHAPTER TWO
In chapter two, Dwayne Vance takes a look at his original sketches and starts refining them in the final design.
CHAPTER THREE
In chapter three, Hoi Man Tham takes his original thumbnail sketches and develops them further into his final presentation piece.
CHAPTER FOUR
In chapter four, Dwayne Vance wraps up his vehicle design by setting it up in a scene and adding in the final touches.
CHAPTER FIVE
In chapter five, Hoi Man Tham picks up where he left off in chapter three and starts adding in all the final touches to his futuristic construction vehicle.
